news > 30 july 2005 More Promoting Veganism in LondonSaturday 30 July saw another vegan stall and free food give-away by Vegan Campaigns. The stall was set up on busy Chiswick High Street and right from the start there was a constant stream of people coming up to try the food and find out more. As well as home made quiche and cake we had cheatin ham, cheezly, sausages and 'Polony'; generously donated by Redwood and Fry's. Chocolate was also very popular. We put out a good selection and the choice definitely drew people over. The response was amazing with loads of interest and the stall felt like a mini-version of a free vegan food fayre with lots of positive feedback. It was clear from some people that we had started to smash the stereotype that they had previously held about vegan/veggie food. The next vegan stall will be held in East London on Saturday 27 August. Exact venue to be confirmed, check the events page after Monday 15 August. If you have wanted to try doing a vegan food fayre but have not yet done it, why not try doing a food-tasting stall to give you a taster of what you can achieve? If you want more information about doing this please contact us. Thanks again to Redwoods and Fry's for donating food for us to give away. |
