Served lunch at community cafe in Broadwater Farm

On Friday 5 December, four members of Vegan Campaigns served lunch at a community cafe in Broadwater Farm. Each week a different community group cooks at the cafe, and serves cheap food to members of the public. About 30 people came to the cafe that lunchtime and were served with chestnut and mushroom casserole, chickpea and coconut curry, rice and salads followed by chocolate and carrot cake. The food was enjoyed by all, and comments included "I'm a meat eater but that was delicious!" Of course we had our literature and recipe booklets on display, which people were keen to take away. We are hoping to cook at the cafe again in the New Year.
