David Landau
David is vegetarian and has been active in the struggle against racism and fascism since the 1970s. From 1987 until 1998 he was secretary and convenor of Islington Anti-Racist Anti-Fascist Action and was instrumental in setting up Redbridge & Epping Forest Together - a local campaign against the BNP - in 2004 and was its convenor until 2006 and am still very active in it. He works for Redbridge Equalities & Community Council and his work has mainly been in supporting victims of hate crime.

Why Should Vegans and Vegetarians be opposed to racism and fascism?
Some fascists (Hitler included) have infamously been vegetarians. One or two members of the BNP today have been animal rights activists. The BNP make a big thing about opposition to Kosher and Halal meat. So why should we be opposed to them?
Fascists want us to see the vast majority of our own species as 'Aliens' and are for the persecution, exclusion and ultimately if 'necessary' the extermination of such aliens. If this is how they see our own species why would we expect them to be good for any life on earth?
