Promoting Veganism in Stratford

Saturday 27 August saw a vegan stall and free food give-away in Stratford, which was the most successful yet.

The stall was busy with people most of the time, and a couple of times there were queues of people eager to sample the food and find out more.

Most people gave good feedback, they really liked the food and many wanted to know where they could get more! We ran out of recipe sheets and recipe booklets; and the local health food shop said they had loads of people coming down to get the vegan Redwood sausages that we had been giving away on the tasting stall.

There was stacks of food partly due to Redwoods and Fry's generosity. Despite the volume of food, it had all gone by the end of the day.

Young and old came to the stall and enjoyed the food, and most took information. We gave out many of the 'Why Vegan' booklets produced by the Vegan Society.

It was a really inspiring day, seeing so many people who were open to trying veggie and vegan food, and were eager to find out more. The next day will be a veggie burger giveaway on Sat 15 October, in Hackney.
